About AES
As a non-profit corporation established in 1989, Advanced Educational Services owns and operates non-public, non-sectarian schools and provides related educational services in the United States.
Advanced Education Services provides a complete curriculum for both day students and students in residential settings. Originally, AES was created to educate children with special needs and disabilities. Today AES has grown to include regular education, preschool, designated instructional and alternative education services to children from preschool/kindergarten through grade twelve.
Typically, the special needs students served by AES are emotionally disturbed, specific learning disabled, limited cognitive functioning, speech impaired, autistic or developmentally delayed.
Whether the student is in a regular education program or a special education program. AES has one simple goal… to ensure that each child attending an AES school experiences a level of academic and personal success that will lead to a productive and responsible adult life. And while achieving this goal, we instill in each child a sense of purpose, dignity, respect, and an appreciation for the skills, talents, and achievements of themselves and others.
Find out why AES's highly trained personnel, productive classroom settings, supportive environment, and high expectations for student behavior all work together to inspire, guide, and motivate each student to do their best.
Advanced Education Services provides students, at every grade level, with a sophisticated and complete academic curriculum. This curriculum is designed to help students master the basic skills.
Our students receive benefits that are not found in other academic environments. For example, class sizes are kept to a minimum, typically under twenty in regular education classes and averaging eight in special education classes. The ratio is even further reduced to as low as 3-4 students per adult with the introduction of teachers' aides into the classroom.
We believe that school encompasses much more than reading, writing and arithmetic. It must be a complete arena of education that provides each student with meaningful social interaction, friendships, and a forum for understanding the boundaries of positive and acceptable behavior.
We are constantly expanding our programs with state-of-the-art innovations designed to help our students become productive adults capable of making positive contributions to themselves, their families and their communities. AES is consistently ranked in the top 1% of its field. One of the main reasons for this impressive achievement is our philosophy of putting resources back into our schools to provide teachers and students with the best possible equipment and materials to promote better learning. From advanced computers in the classrooms to our highly credentialed teachers and teachers’ aides, AES is committed to providing its students with the best possible resources for a higher level of learning.
